I’m Back! Blogging Hiatus is Hopefully Over!

Aaacckkk! It’s been nearly two months since I updated the blog! Hopefully that hiatus is over. I do truly enjoy doing the blog but it is very time consuming.

We took a some time off the last couple of weeks of July to enjoy a little vacation time and recover from our busy spring schedule. This year has been crazy and I thank all my clients for making this our best year yet! The fall schedule has some fun and exciting stuff for us to look forward to and is even busier than the spring.

My wife and I also celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on July 19th by spending some time down at Bald Head Island and Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Time flies when you’re having fun. We have some great memories from our wedding 20 years ago, but the one thing I will never forget is that it was about 107 degrees that day. We picked the hottest day of the year to get married so you guys that get married during the summer months have nothing on me!

Many of you also know that I am a youth football coach. I coach my youngest son’s team and have been coaching football since the fall of 2000 when I left journalism. This is something that I truly love doing and my teams have been very successful, which makes it even more fun. In the past 5 years, we’ve only lost 3 games! We’ve won our county championship 4 consecutive times! Winning is great but it’s nothing like seeing the smile on a 10 year-old kid’s face when he truly gets what you are trying to accomplish.

As part of my football coaching responsibility I also manage a group of about 140 9-10-11 year-olds on 8 different teams. That responsibility makes August a challenging month! Between our wedding schedule, image production schedule, client meetings, and my football responsibilities, blogging time was at a minimum. Now that September has finally arrived the football responsibilities are reduced and I only have to worry about my own team now. So hopefully we can get caught up on the blog action a bit and keep everyone informed on what we are doing!

Thanks for your patience!
